Incorporated on March 10, 1975, Pilipinas Hino, Inc. (PHI) is a joint venture among Filipino investors, Hino Motors, Ltd. and Marubeni Corporation of Japan, with the main business of assembly and distribution of Hino trucks, bus chassis and spare parts. 

As a participant in the government's Commercial Vehicle Development Program (CVDP), PHI is principally engaged in the assembly and distribution of quality Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines.

The company also manufactures truck and bus bodies. PHI's body building facility is one of the most modern in the country. Completely Built-Up buses have already been exported to several foreign countries. It shall continue to do so and shall develop more automotive-related products for local and export sales.

Among the country's leading automotive companies, PHI holds around 35% of Category 4 and 5 (6,000 kilograms GVW and up) of the CVDP sales.
